Talking About Injustice: A Community Conversation with Bryan Stevenson
Wednesday, December 9, 2015
Join us for a Community Conversation with the visionary attorney and human rights activist Bryan Stevenson, a MacArthur Fellow and founder of the Equal Justice Initiative. Stevenson is one of the country’s most inspired thinkers and social justice advocates, and a leader in the movement to fight mass incarceration. Just Mercy, Stevenson's memoir, recalls his experiences as a young lawyer advocating for justice and fighting against extreme punishments in an unbalanced criminal justice system. The stories he tells are heartbreaking, inspiring, and motivate audiences to take action and make changes in their own lives.

Najarian Lecture for Human Rights with Speaker Peter Balakian
October 22, 2015

This fifth annual lecture will pay tribute to the New England women and men—intellectuals, politicians, diplomats, religious leaders, and citizens—who, at Faneuil Hall, between 1895 and 1918, heard eyewitness accounts of the atrocities taking place against the Armenian minority of the Ottoman Empire and spoke passionately about the urgent need for intervention. Scholar, poet, and writer Peter Balakian will be the featured speaker.

The lecture will take place at Fanueil Hall from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Find more information here.
