Join us for an inspiring evening honoring the Memphis Upstanders
Charles Holt
The extraordinary Memphians featured on our Memphis Upstanders Mural embraced the challenge to speak out, stand up for others, and make decisions that help create positive change in our world. Celebrated Broadway actor and Tennessee native Charles Holt will bring these Upstanders to life through spoken words and song, as we explore the variety of ways each of us can make positive change. The choices made by these Upstanders have helped to create a more inclusive, just, and compassionate Memphis and serve as an inspiration as we ontinue to pave the way to a better future.
Facing History and Ourselves equips educators and youth with skills that allow them to wrestle with today's issues through the lens of history. We believe that by empowering our youth, they will build a more engaged, moral, and compassionate society. We've been doing this for 40 years and it's never been more important. We invite you to join us on this journey.
