WE ARE FACING HISTORY
Memphis and Beyond
2021 Fundraising Campaign
The Campaign
We are thrilled to share that our 2021 end of year campaign received over $300,000 that will be used to support teachers in using the lessons of the past to meet the challenges of the future.
With your support, Facing History will continue to create new curriculum and trainings to help teachers address contemporary antisemitism in the classroom, find ways to reach new communities across the country, and build our current events resources. We will continue to Face History together—and together we will create the next generation of leaders who will build a world based on knowledge and compassion.
See Our Impact
More than 50,000 teachers across the Southeast are ready to meet the moment with our lessons and resources. Facing History teachers and their students have seen the impact of our programs come full circle in their lives through personal and professional experiences. Hear a few of their stories:

Our Work in Memphis & Across the Southeast
From Memphis to Chattanooga to Louisville, Facing History and Ourselves’ Southeast Region reaches over 390,000 students in public, independent, charter, and religious schools each year. Through Facing History, students become more engaged in academic work and learn to recognize and combat racism, antisemitism, and prejudice in their schools and communities. From the Holocaust, Reconstruction, and the Civil Rights Movement, to current events like Charlottesville and immigration, Facing History and Ourselves helps teachers make complex and difficult subjects relevant and accessible for the next generation.
